The Mentorship Program

ItsHerWay is proud to launch a special mentorship program for the community. 

Together we grow from strength to strength. With thousands of women on our platform now we truly believe that if we put our expertise together and support one another with a focused approach we all can achieve much much more. 

We believe mentoring is a relationship between two people with the goal of professional and personal development. The "mentor" is usually an experienced individual who shares knowledge, experience, and advice with a less experienced person, or "mentee."  A good mentor helps a mentee to make decisions that help them reach their goals. A great mentor builds a mentees confidence in a way that less instruction or assurance is needed from others

 

A mentor may share with a mentee (or protege) information about his or her own career path, as well as provide guidance, motivation, emotional support, and role modeling. A mentor may help with exploring careers, setting goals, developing contacts, and identifying resources.

The Duration of the mentorship will be a maximum of 6 months and the mentee and mentor will have guided discussions and a maximum of 3 curated meetings by ItsHerWay.com During this period of 6 months the mentor and mentees are free to have other interactions and discussions that can help strengthen the bond.

The role of mentees in the mentoring relationship is important. The critical elements that mentees should bring to their mentor/mentee relationships are:

(1) a willingness to be mentored,

(2) a desire to learn, and

(3) a demeanor that suggests receptivity to being directed and advised.
