Shan Re

Shan Re (b. 1960) is a versatile artist who has explored a wide array of subjects and genres in several group and solo exhibitions in India and abroad since the year 2000. Each phase has its own significance and beauty in life, same way each series of Shan has its own importance and uniqueness with free flowing lines and shapes, intense colors infused with mystical sensibility, and poetic humanness. Her most popular series include "The Colorscapes" (2001), "Echos and whispers" (2004), "In the Musical Garden"(2007), "Silence and Solitude" (2001), "The Frozen Fire", "Psychopictografia" (2003), "Premonitions and Precognitions" (2011) and "The Eternal Spring" (2010 to present). Shan's works provide the viewer with a revitalizing sense of peace, stability and strong dynamic positive energy. Her paintings convey dramatic yet balanced visual expression. Though they are immersed in deep silence they are trying to communicate with the viewer through her magical pictorial language, eternal beauty and tranquillity. Her boldness and enchanting harmony of hues and shades overwhelms us with their intensity and provide a refreshing escape into pure color. Her high vibrational psychic energy is uplifting, illuminating and stimulating while offering hope, happiness, cheerfulness and joy.
